It’s already the 3rd quarter of the year! Time really does fly so fast especially when you’re having fun. I can just remember the days when I was this wide eyed hopeful fresh graduate trying to find my niche in this seemingly challenging Corporate World and now I am already done with my MBA degree with 7 years of working experience under my belt.
It’s a Monday once again! Time to start the daily grind and be productive once again! I felt like the weekend just breezed by me and that I need one more day between Saturday and Sunday to laze around and do my other things that need attending to like updating my blog. 🙂 hehe. Guess I just need to master the art of time management really well. :)
Anyway, the past few weeks had been a blur of activities for me from reading self help books to meeting up with my friends who will be my future business partners in this new endavor that we are about to undertake to working at my day job from Monday to Friday. There just never seems enough time. 😦 But despite my schedule being loaded I have to manage to find time to touch up on my roots and get my much needed facial since you should never forget to pamper yourself once in a while.
Just recently, I have always been on the lookout for new and effective skin care products since our skin should be our greatest asset aside from our hair which we should maintain on a daily basis. So when I visited the clinic of my Doctor friend Dra. Michelle from Micara Clinic I personally asked her recommendation as to what sunblock product she would recommend for me since I was about to go to a beach trip with my friends to El Nido Palawan. Read about my beach adventure here .
I’m back! Feels so good to be back in the blogging world after taking a hiatus for a couple of weeks. I’m really sorry that I don’t get to update my blog more often due to the other pressing priorities which calls my attention but I promise to post at least once or twice a month once again to regale you with the latest happenings in my life. 🙂
So before I veer off topic again, let me first regale you with my recent adventure in the pristine shores of El Nido 🙂
It’s already the second quarter of the year! I can’t believe time flies so fast, soon it will already be 2018 and another new adventure is about to commence but before I get ahead of myself once again and digress from the topic let me first recount one of my recent jaunts this week wherein I finally found a cure/ a treatment for my chronic lower back pain which had been a perennial problem for me since time immemorial cause its been bothering me for way too long 🙂
They say that the best things in life come when you least expect it. This age old adage holds true for me since just last week as I celebrated my birthday my friends, family and KD all connived together to stage a surprise birthday bash for me.
The past few weeks had been quite busy for me since I just celebrated my birthday and spent the past few days catching up with my friends whom I haven’t talked to for quite some time. Been also quite full since I’m preparing the slides for my upcoming talk next week about Consumer Insights in Marketing and How to Make Social Media Work for You but that’s for another blog post maybe after my talk next week.
So since I wanted to look different come my birthday which entails another year of growing older and hopefully more wiser and mature I decided to attend to the things that I might have ignored or overlooked for the past few months like my diet, my skin care routine and my exercise.
Good thing I chanced upon Dra. Michelle one of the Cosmetic Surgeons I met before when I went to one Derma Clinic to blog about their services. She introduced me to this new concept in Skincare called the ‘”AGAS Concept” a complete skincare routine to nourish and whiten your skin from within.
To be honest, I wasn’t really familiar with this new ice cream joint called Bono Gelato until a friend of mine introduced it to me. I usually just gravitate to my staple favorites like the cheese and the pistachio ice cream flavors so I wouldn’t regret it when my family doesn’t like the flavor I chose and I will end up eating the whole tub of ice cream causing me extra calories and an unhealthy diet. Hello thunder thighs and flabby arms!
So when one of my blogger friends invited me to try out this new flavor from this Ice Cream joint I wasn’t really that optimistic and tried to lower my expectations simply because I didn’t like to be disappointed but then again maybe first impressions don’t always last especially in this case.
I have always believed in having a healthy work life balance. Simply put, you also have a life outside your work. That’s why I always list down my goals in my planner and keep tabs on it once in a while to ensure that I am making progress on my goals.
So far I guess I am on the right track since aside from working in my 9-5 job on a daily basis after work I usually go to the gym and ensure that I eat right, meaning I include more veggies and healthy options in my staple diet nowadays. Aside from that, I get to attend events again as much as my time permits and I am also entertaining other speaking engagements in the coming months. So before I get all consumed up once again in how my life had been these past few weeks let me recount first one of the foodie invites I went to just last week in Megamall. 🙂
It’s been two weeks since we celebrated Mother’s Day with my Lola and my Mom and what better way to give tribute to the 2 women who raised us and toiled all these years just to ensure to give us a good future than to treat them out for lunch and give them tokens of our appreciation to them.
With that said, just a couple of weeks back I got invited to a sit down lunch at Salu Restaurant in the confines of Tomas Morato and since it was near our place of residency after mass we went straight there to the place to celebrate Mother’s Day as well.
